ROAD TRANSPORT FACILITIES:


LOCAL TRANSPORT
The local transport is provided by bus and covers most of the roads used in the presented routes. Buses run between Deva and Bran at intervals of one hour. ȚEBEA has bus stops for the local buses that transit the village.

TAXIS
5-seat cars and 18-seat minibuses can be rented.

FOR TRANSPORT BY GUESTS' MEANS
Gas stations:
- between DEVA and ȚEBEA: five;
- within a village: Baia-de-Cris (2 km from Tebea): two;
- mechanic/auto service stations: DEVA and BRAD

Medical assistance:

At village level: hospital, medical unit, pharmacy - at 3km from the house in BAIA-DE-CRIS
At town level: hospital, polyclinic, pharmacies - at 7km from the house in the town of BRAD
At county level: hospital, polyclinic, pharmacies - at 40km from the house, in the town of DEVA (capital of the county)

Local facilities: bus stop for the local transport, railway station on the Arad-Brad route; stores for current supplies, public phone.

Facilities in the nearest town - Brad (7km from Tebea): different stores, market, post office, savings house office; 2 bank subsidiaries: Bancpost and BCR provided with ATM's, exchange houses, internet cafes.

- short distance sites: the Caraciului Valley, the Caraciului Lake, the Uibarestilor Gorges, the Ribicioarei Gorges, the Grohotului Bridge, the Bulzestilor Valey, Vata-de-Jos, the Vulcan Mountain
- long distance sites: the Bears' Cave (the most beautiful cave in S-E Europe), the Scarisoara Glacier (the most important glacier in S-E Europe), the Ponorului Fortresses (the largest exo-karstic phenomenon in Romania)

Historical-cultural sites:
- The Museum of Gold- Brad (unique in Europe); the Fortress of Deva, the Huniad Castle - Hunedoara; the Crisan Monastery, the Church in Criscior; the Church in Tebea with Avram Iancu's tomb and Horea's evergreen oak

Folk traditions: The Fair of Girls on the Găina Mountain (around 20th of July)

Required equipment:
- Knapsack for one-day or six-day trips;
- Sports shoes for hiking and mountain shoes for more demanding routes;
- Warm pullover, jacket, long trousers, shorts, raincoat, a few pairs of cotton socks, sun hat;
- Water can, spoon, fork and knife, lantern;
