Located in Western Romania (Transylvania), in the Southern Apuseni Mountains, at 500 km from Bucharest, ŢEBEA is a place that will provoke you to discover a surprisingly unexpected landscape and a rich cultural and historical heritage belonging to this part of Transylvania.

Although apparently far from present world with its houses scattered on the gentle hills of the Apuseni Mountains and its people living in their century-old rhythm, ŢEBEA can be easily reached as many roads (and simultaneously railways) lead to it from the Romanian towns of: Deva, Arad, Cluj, Timişoara, Bucharest. The international airports in Bucharest, Timisoara and Cluj can be reached from many places abroad.

• The atmosphere specific to a village from Transylvania and the charm of the seasons: verdant hills, red tile roofs and long-respected traditions; meadows and orchards in blossom, evenings flavored by the freshly-made hay, purple forests, the untouched immaculate snow and the jingle of the Christmas Carols.

• An exceptional folk event: the "Fair of Girls" on Mount Găina is an opportunity to get an insight, during a whole day around the 20th of July, on the folk costumes and dances in Transylvania and to buy traditional handicraft articles.
• A unique museum - the "Museum of Gold" in Brad, the sole of this kind in Europe, located at 7 km from ŢEBEA, presents the 2000 year-old history of gold mining in România as well as golden exhibits, unique in the world.
• Century-old fortresses and castles: the Huniad Castle in Hunedoara and the Fortress of Deva intertwine legends with history.
• Important historical sites: ŢEBEA and the neighboring localities - Mesteacan, Abrud and Câmpeni are related to the Uprising of Horea, Cloşca and Crişan (1784) and the Revolution in 1848 led by Avram Iancu and therefore, are part of Transylvania's history.
• An "El-Dorado" of all times: Roşia-Montana, considered the oldest gold exploitation in Europe, still tempting nowadays and which hosts the most ancient vestiges on the continent.
• Climbing (mountaineering) in the neighborhood: close or very close to TEBEA the limestone relief offers the climbers 3rd or 4th degree routes in the steep Ribicioarei Gorges or on the heights of the Vulcan Mountain.
• An invisible doctor - nature: the thermal waters in VAŢA-de-JOS (10 km from ŢEBEA) and fishing in the river crossing the village provide an authentic infusion of health and relaxation.
• Hunting places in the shade of the forest: deer, stags, wild boars dwell in the forests going down to the limits of the village but only by the ones skilled in hunting can reach them.
